Uche Jombo and footballer I.K Uche are engaged, True or False???
Uche posted this picture on twitter earlier this week and the ring on her left finger is very clear, it was posted few days after Econium magazine reported that, "The ring is actually on her left index finger. She is not hiding but she's also not talking about it. She got the ring sometime last year from Ikechukwu (Uche) and the two are planning a wedding".
Nonetheless, some others say she long broke up with I.K Uche and is presently engaged to someone else.
Whichever way, we'll find out in time, all we know for now is that Uche's wedding bells would be ringing soon

NOKIA TAKEN TO COURT BY NIGERIA MUSICIAN OVER COPYRIGHTS ISSUES
NOKIA has been accused by a Nigerian musician, 2shortz of copyrights infringement. The musician, who is hails from the Eastern Parts of Nigeria has also dragged the mobile phone company before a Lagos High Court over what he described as a violation of his intellectual property by the mobile phone company.
In his statement of claims, 2shortz said NOKIA used three of his songs as default ring tones for NOKIA X3 without getting approval and sealing a contract with him. He considered it as illegal.
He is therefore seeking damages in form of monetary compensation to the tune of N5 billion.
While Brendan Rilley, lawyer for NOKIA is saying that they actually got the deal through Orchard, a record label last year, 2shortz said nothing can be farther from the truth.2shortz reiterated that only Umunnamu his record label has the legal rights to enter into any contract with company or individual regarding his songs.
Gistmaster gathered that some people are not in happy that Nokia can do such a thing to a musician. A furious musician told gistmaster.com on phone that it is quite absurd and unthinkable that Nokia can commit such a blunder.
Sources however told gistmaster.com that it may not the fault of top officials of Nokia. They said they were sure some people who were supposed to broker the deal might have played a fast one by going through the back door.
James Rutherfoord, Nokia’s General Manager, West Africa could not be reached for comments on the issue. Nigerian musicians in the past have been at loggerheads with telecoms company over the way that their intellectual property have been used without gains. It took some efforts and campaigns by leading artists before the case was resolved in the past.

Nigerian's youngest painter, photographer and graphic designer is 7years old Onarietta Remet
Onarietta Remet made her first painting at 18 months. The painter, photographer and graphic designer is now seven years old. The eldest of three siblings, she is the granddaughter of Ben Odiase, who composed Nigeria’s national anthem.
Onarietta’s younger sister, four-year-old Onatteni, is also a painter. She already has 75 paintings and continues to churn out more. It is no wonder that the two sisters are applying themselves this way as artistry runs in the family. Their parents, both painters, have put in time and energy to help develop their daughters’ talent.
“The consciousness of the father to the child’s ability to grow up to and meet a need in society is important because parenting will affect the outcome of the society through the child,” says Pius Remet, the girls’ father. The landscape designer, who is self-employed, works closely with his daughters.

Clarence Peters – One of the most recognized music video makers in Nigeria and a passionate filmmaker with exceptional talent, Clarence studied film in South Africa for two years before returning to Nigeria to change the music video game forever. He has worked long and hard to increase the production quality of the music videos coming out of Lagos and is now the “go-to” guy for video production in Nigeria.
Cyrus Kabiru – The cool Kenyan artist behind C-Stunners, spectacular glasses-cum-artworks made from recycled materials. Cyrus started making C-Stunners when he was a kid and now can’t stop.

Focusing on Nigerian stories, Bolaji recently finished production on his first short film – a supernatural thriller called “nkiru”, shot on a mysterious island just off the Lagos coastline.
Jimmy Chuchu – Renaissance man Jimmy Chuchu is an I.T. dude who taught himself graphic design, went into advertising, felt it would steal his soul, borrowed money from his brother to buy a camera and then became a brilliant photographer! At the same time, Jimmy and two friends from college started Kenya’s first ever electro-pop outfit, called it “Just a Band” and got themselves signed to an American label. Jimmy subsequently moved into motion picture and now creates all the band’s music videos together with one of the band’s other members.
Bayo – This Nigerian fashion designer originally designed under the label Onyx and Pearl but is currently launching a movement/label in Lagos called the Orange Movement. A self-confessed member of the “cool to be uncool” scene, Bayo’s mission is to make a space for those kids that always felt strange or out of place.
Jahawi – A Kenyan DJ who’s pioneering the growing electronic dance music scene in Nairobi. Aside from DJ-ing at home and abroad he plays guitar and piano, is a producer and sound engineer who has released singles worldwide.
Touching Base premieres on MTV Base between 18:25 CAT and 18:30 CAT on Monday 6 June – look out for it on MTV Base!
