Oprah Winfrey to become a teacher of LIFE 101 in South Africa school

The students at Oprah Winfrey’s Leadership Academy for Girls in South Africa are going to be benefit from some private lessons from the media mogul herself! After receiving her Honorary Doctorate in Education at the University of the Free State, Oprah Winfrey is heading back to South Africa as a teacher!

In an email newsletter that Oprah sent out to her fans, she said that she will be returning later this year to teach a class called “It’s Life 101″. The course will be about all the things she wishes someone had taught her about how the world and life really work.

Oprah, who founded the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls and has weathered some scandals that plagued the school in the beginning, said: “Should be fun since I love to teach. And they’re like sponges. Like 12th graders everywhere, this first class is both anxious and excited about going to college. Most will be the first in their family. So it’s a very big deal for them, and they’re feeling the pressure.”

The billionaire businesswoman also said what fun she’d had with the Academy’s students during her recent trip to accept her Doctorate. She wrote “I love being with them and talking to them about all things important. When I’m there I’m talking from the time I get up till I go to bed, about EVERYTHING teenage girls are going through. It’s the same all over the world.”

Bimbo Ayelabola, the Nigerian whose 5 babies cost UK £200,000 in NHS was actually married to a tycoon

The Nigerian woman who  travelled to Britain to give birth to quins at the taxpayer’s expense is married to a wealthy businessman.

Bimbo Ayelabola, 33, had two boys and three girls in April by caesarean section and remained in hospital for almost two weeks, costing the NHS up to £200,000.

Her visitor’s visa has expired and she is now fighting to remain in this country, claiming a return to her home city of Lagos would leave her homeless and without a ‘support network’ to help her raise her five children.

However the Daily Mail has learnt that her husband, who remains in Nigeria, is a wealthy businessman.

University-educated Ohi Nasir Ilavbare is chief executive of his own logistics company whose clients include British American Tobacco  and DHL.

He also owns and runs an upmarket hotel and business centre in an exclusive suburb of Lagos, where his company, Spry Logistics, is based.

Suites at the facility in a gated complex cost £100  a night. The average  annual wage in Nigeria is around £300.

Hello everyone, i just want to correct an impression, i got married at a tender age and hv 2 kids, ten yrs after my first divorce, i decided to try again but my second marriage unfortunately packed up after 5yrs (2005) since then i've been working hard to move on wit my life, i'm not perfect (who is?) Supreme Court Condemns Nollywood Actress To Death

A seven-man panel of the Supreme Court today in Abuja upheld the death sentence passed on Kano state based Nollywood actress, Miss Rabi Ismaila, by a Kano state High Court and the Court of Appeal in the Kaduna Division, for allegedly drugging and drowning her boyfriend, Mr. Auwalu, in 2002.


In the lead judgment of the apex court prepared by Justice Francis Fedode Tabai, the court noted that the actress was charged with culpable homicide of the deceased.
It stated that having examined the alleged confessional statements of the accused actress as well as the witnesses’ depositions and the records of trial within trial, it did not see any reason to interfere with the decisions of the High Court and Court of Appeal on the matter which concurrently found Miss Ismaila guilty of culpable homicide.

The court consequently affirmed and upheld the death sentence hanging on the actress’ head.
Rabi was arraigned before the Kano court in 2002 and charged with the offence of culpable homicide contrary to section 221 (b) of the Penal Code. She was alleged to have drugged the deceased Ibrahim Auwalu, alias Zazu, by giving him a doped Eclairs sweet as a result of which the deceased lost consciousness. The alleged act was said to had taken place on or about 25 December, 2002.
Rabi was represented at the apex court proceedings by Mr. Taiwo I. Taiwo while the state was represented Ms. Binta Lawal of the Kano State Directorate of Public Prosecution.
Reacting to the judgment, Ms. Binta Lawal stated that the state is not celebrating the decision of the apex court, noting that as an agent of Justice, that the Kano State DPP is only interested in justice for the deceased as well as justice for the accused.
Rabi Islaila, a well known actress in Kano, was also a prostitute. The mother of two was popular keeping the company of area boys and commercial motorcyclists known in Kano as Yan Achaba.
She allegedly murdered her boyfriend, Auwalu Ibrahim in 2002 with a chocolate drink and pushed him into the Tiga Dam. The case dragged on for about three years.
In 2005, Justice Haliru Mohammed Abdullahi found Rabi Ismaila guilty of homicide as charged and sentenced her to death by hanging.
The judge held that he was convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Rabi Ismaila also known as Rabi Cecilia among prostitutes, committed the act because she admitted in her statement that she removed N10,000 from the late Auwalu before pushing him into the dam.
Only a few people were aware that the actress appealed the judgement. There were rumours she had escaped from prison while some people believed she had been executed in the prison.
But in 2008, the court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna, presided over by Justice Alkali Ba’aba, upheld the High Court judgement that convicted Rabi Ismaila.
She then appealed to the Supreme Court which upheld the death sentence passed on her today.
