Nigerian Man Alexandra Abimbola Wanted In The UK For Multiple Crimes
"Alexander Abimbola is wanted for dangerous driving and fraud in connection with a road traffic accident which left the victim paralysed from the neck down. Police believe 40-year-old Abimbola – who is very religious and is probably still attending church - may well be working as a courier. He has links to South East London and Nigeria".

PICTURES From Naija Halloween + Everyday Is Halloween In Nigeria
"... the bonfires that are associated with Halloween here in the western world originated in Africa from ritualistic ceremonies and sacrifices made years ago to appease the gods. I can easily recall as a youth witnessing several festivals where slaughtered cattle were thrown into flames as a means of repentant or celebration. Africans have sacrificed animals in many instances for centuries to insure that their crops would prosper or for the rain to come. The idea was that some type of spirit would speak through the head of the village and be able to forecast the future. Now of course after the crops blossomed and the rains came, people danced and partied the night away full of joy.
As for the costumes; I can’t think of one ritual back home where people did not dress in elaborate attire. Different forms of masks, colors and original pieces mark the occasion and excitement in the crowds. Many African societies see mask as mediators between the living world and the supernatural world of the dead, ancestors and other entities. The masks become the attribute of a dressed up dancer who gives life and word at the time of the ceremonies. Back home in Nigeria where am from (IDIMU Stand Up!) we would have these festivals that heads of the participants would in disguise as spirits and demons as they told stories, read fortunes and danced up and down the streets in the villages. We called it Odun Egun (Aygoon) in my Yoruba language.
Trick or Treat; asking and begging for money from strangers back home in Nigeria is common practice. This is a constant you deal with from when you wake up; there is somebody at your front gate. On your commute to work; little kids are in the middle of the roads and your local police officers with their random “Check-Points” are all trying to make a dollar. Unfortunately, this is a regular occurrence and the way of life in Nigeria for so many not a means to rack up bags of candy and sweets."Do you agree with Panko?

We all have our favourite clothing item, mine has to be the winter jacket I've been rocking since 2009, hopefully this winter, I'll convince myself to dump it for good.

Yoruba Actress, Bimbo Akisanya On Trial For Attempted Murder Of A Reverend
One of the charges reads:
“ That you, Bimbo Akinsanya and others now at large on 28 October, 2011 at about 2030hrs at No. 20, Samuel Street, Akowonjo, Egbeda, Lagos, in the Lagos magisterial district, did point Rev. Pat Ogechi Dennah to a boy yet to be identified, to kill her and the said boy shot her with a gun and wounded her on her left shoulder and thereby committed an offence punishable under section 338 of the criminal code cap C17 Vol. 11 laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003.”Bimbo stuck to a 'not guilty' plea and was released on N100,000 bail, the case has been adjourned till 30th of November 2011. Just when we're about to rejoice at Baba Suwe's release, now this ...

The Price Of Fame: Wizkid Seriously Mobbed By Fans At His Dad's Birthday
Some days back, Banky W’s manager, Segun Demuren tweeted about how the singers Banky W and Wizkid (who's under Banky's E.M.E record) were mobbed by hundreds of excited fans at Wizkid's dad's party in Surulere, and sadly Wizkid was unable to spend more time with his father.
According to Segun;
“Sunday was special. It was Wizkid’s father’s 70th birthday, in Surulere, Shitta Bey area. We thought we had come prepared, but we were wrong.”
“Banky W and I arrived around 6am; the plan was to stay for an hour. We called Wizkid, thinking he would be partying with his Dad, but little did we know that Wizkid was sitting in a car surrounded by a lot of people. He had been in the car since 2pm, at his own Father’s 70th gig. I couldn’t believe it.”
“So we got him out and walked into the event (at a school playground by the way), so he could sit with his father. Big mistake.”
“In less than 15 seconds, the canopy is swamped, there are 200 phones in the air taking pictures, and the crowd is overwhelming the security.”
“the MC is announces that everyone should sit down Nothing. Wizkid’s mum makes it through; but she’s scared and wants to go home.”
“Security only come to this tent, but leaving the main gate open, area boys then walked in saying “Wizzy, Wiz, Baba Wizzo.”
“It was no longer safe, and we had to go”. We greeted Wizkid’s dad & made our way to our vehicle, but there were at at least 150 people surrounding it.”
“So the security guys carry Wizkid, with one managing to open the door, bundling Wizkid and Banky W into it. I managed to squeeze in, but my clothes got stuck in the door.”
“I looked at Banky W, I looked at Wizkid and I felt completely sorry for the guys. I asked if this was how it always happened & they said that this was nothing.”
“On getting back to Wizkid’s fathers house, it was a bit quieter, I looked at a kid who was kid bb’ing, loosely surrounded by four hefty guys. He seemed alone.”
“It was his father’s 70th birthday & he couldn’t event attend it, because his name is Wizkid.”
