Nigerians Dominate Winners List At The 2011 Channel O Music Video Award

The 2011 Channel O Music Video Awards took place in Johannesburg, South Africa on Friday 11th of November, Banky W and South Africa's Dineo Moeketsi were the hosts of the show. There were performances from the likes of Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage, Angolan Cabo Snoop and DJ Cleo.

Yes!!! The video is finally here, we informed you earlier that BBA winner, Karen Igho made a cameo appearance in Hakym's new video for Scoobi Doo remix featuring Rapper Eldee, well the video is here now.

The video directed by Clarence Peters has been branded by many as his best works, because he creatively used African prints to form the major backdrop of the video and also added a good blend of colours and odd camera angles to make the video stand out. Hakym said

“Scoobi Doo remix video will not only increase the sales of Ankara, it will also sell my brand to the world, which is BFN: Bold, Fresh and Nice”

Miss Venezuela

Of the 113 contestants, 22years old Miss Venezuela, Ivian Lunasol Sarcos Colimenares emerged as the 2011 Miss World winner with 1st runner up as Miss Philipines and 2nd runner up, Miss Puerto Rico.

Miss Nigeria, Sylvia Nduka was eliminated when the top 30 were announced, while Miss Zimbabwe and  Miss South Africa were the only Africans who made it to the top 15, Miss South Africa subsequently made it to the top 7 list before being eliminated.

The 61st Miss World competition held in Earles Court, London yesterday the 6th of November and the presenters were, 'Days Of Our Lives' Jason Cook and Actress/ Presenter Angela Chow. The show was broadcast live to an estimated audience of more than one billion viewers in over 150 countries

NDLEA Pumped Water Into My Anus ... We Must Sue

Baba Suwe said;

“The day after I was granted bail (Wednesday), they just came at about 9 am and took me to a hospital in Victoria Island. When we got to the hospital, they put something in my mouth and another in my anus.“They now pumped water into my anus. After they pumped water into my anus I started defecating.“I defecated again several times on getting to their office.”

Also, his lawyers insist on suing,

"They would do more than apologise. Heads must roll in the organisation. They better start to look for other jobs. It is as simple as that ... They kept him for 24 days without getting any evidence and that in itself constitutes a very gross violation of our constitution. You can’t arrest a person for this long period without evidence.”

UK Based Nigerian Nurse Loose Licence For Praying Instead Of Treating During Emergency

A UK based Nigerian nurse Omolayo Abayomi has lost her nursing licence, the 51years old panicked and chose to pray for  the emergency patient instead of treating the baby. According to DailyMail;

"Omolayo Abayomi 'panicked' when the child, who suffered from a chronic lung disease, turned blue and stopped breathing in his cot at home.
The 51-year-old called for divine intervention more than 20 times before the vulnerable boy's mother told her to 'shut up'.
'The nurse was constantly saying "Jesus help him" and waving her arms around"

What a horrible situation. Do you think the nurse deserves what she got or did the baby's parents, the court and the Nursing body go too far?

First daughter of former United Nations Secretary General, Koffi Annan and Titilola Alakija (his 1st wife) wedded Nigerian, Poju Adedeji at the end of September.

42year's old Ama celebrated her traditional wedding at the Annan's home in Osu, Accra while the church wedding took place at Ridge church, Accra and dinner reception at Ambassador Marverick Hotel, Ghana.
