 Megaletrics limited, the owners of Naija FM, Beat FM and Classic FM has employed present Big Brother Africa winner Karen Igho. Karenfied crew should be excited about this because not only will she be working for Beat FM, she will also have her on show on Naija FM, Nigeria's only Pidgin English speaking radio station.

SUPER EAGLES MID-FIELDER CHRISTIAN OBODO KIDNAPPED IN DELTA

Udinese football club and Super Eagles mid-fielder Christian Obodo was this morning kidnapped in Effurun, Delta State on his way from church. Obodo who currently plays for Italian Club, Udinese flew into the Country some weeks ago after the completion of the 2011/2012 football season. He was driving his car with a customized plate number ‘Obodo 5’ after the morning service and around 9:20 a.m. was waylaid on Jakpa Road. The unknown gunmen kidnapped him and left his car in front of his church at New Layout, Effurun.

The kidnappers have however not contacted any of the player’s relatives or friends.

TIMOTHY BROWN IS FIRST MAN TO BE CURED OF AIDS; AIDS IS NO MORE INCURABLE

Timothy Brown also known as the “Berlin Patient”(because he once lived there) is the first man to be cured of AIDS. The 46 years old became the first person in history to be cured of HIV after receiving a blood stem cell transplant from a person resistant to the virus. In 1995 he was  first tested positive for HIV but a medical breakthrough in 2007 made possible by a surgery saw made him the first man cured of HIV. He was earlier diagnosed with leukemia and in the course of treatment he was cured of HIV. The blood stem cells he received came from a donor with a special genetic mutation that made him resistant to HIV. The genetic mutation occurs in less than 1 percent of Caucasians, and far less frequently in people of other races. Before Brown got his transplant in 2007, doctors tested nearly 70 donors for this genetic mutation before they found one who was a match. Brown had his transplant in February 2007 and now his body shows no signs of the HIV virus.

Timothy Brown told ABC News "I feel good…I haven't had any major illnesses, just occasional colds like normal people."

VECTOR INSULTED REMINISCE’S PARENTS IN NEW DISS TRACK

It all started when Vector gave Reminisce of the “Kako bi Chicken” fame a lyrical jab in a song he recorded with Sauce Kid titled “Street Kitchen” where Vector rhymed saying some people claim they are “pepperish” but that he has enough tomato to diffuse the pepper. Reminisce was alarmed that Vector dissed him because he is the one that uses the slang “Ota lenu” which means it is “pepperish” if you dare taste it. He recorded a response track aimed at Vector the next day. Vector in the stead of replying vector took to twitter to say “I sow truth why should I reap lie (a wordplay on reply). But in a twist the lyricist in a collaborative effort on AQ’s “Distraction” went all out to diss Reminisce.

 In anticipation of his upcoming album G.I.L.B.E.R.T., A-Q is dropping a five track EP titled ‘Make Your Best Rapper Look Stupid’ and “Distraction” is a track off the five EP. It was a lyrical nuclear weapon that makes Reminisce response look like a rubber bullet. I AM NOT A PRIORITY IN G.O.O.D. MUSIC - DON JAZZY

In an interview he granted City People prolific producer and CEO of MAVIN Records, Don Jazzy disclosed why he “left” Kanye West to concentrate on his artistes. Below is an excerpt of the interview

I am still signed to G.O.O.D Music, but in order for me to be able to concentrate on building the artistes that we have here, I wouldn't be able to give my 100% in the work I have to do in NY. In New York, the music and orientation is different. I can sit down there and say I'm trying to make an album for Kanye West, and it takes me longer because the level of music there is different from the one here. Kanye West has like 100 producers lined up at his beck and call, and it is not like I am priority. So I'll be spending a lot of money staying in the States when I can return home and be making money as well as grooming more artistes. And it's very easy these days. I can work here and once I'm done, and feel it's something that would suit Kanye West, I'll just email it to them, and if they want to use it, they'll use it and if they don't, they will tell you to try again.

In regards to the saddening Dana Air crash, the movie and marketing crew said;

“Words cannot even begin to express our sorrow regarding this news, and our thoughts remain with the families of the bereaved and the two nations that have now been plunged into mourning,” the producers of “The Last Flight to Abuja” said.

“Last Flight to Abuja”, they said, “is a movie inspired by the several air disasters that took place in Nigeria in 2006 and with these latest crashes, the issue of air safety in Nigeria, highlighted by the film, remain very important.”

“Our first instinct in the light of the plane crashes was to postpone the premiere of the movie as a mark of respect to the people that have lost their lives and their families. But we have carefully considered things and have decided to go on with the premiere, and for “Last Flight to Abuja” to be dedicated to their memory, but of more importance, we are now considering using this film as a powerful advocacy tool to highlight and influence in our own little way the issues of air safety in Nigeria and Africa at large,” the producers said.

“Last Flight to Abuja” directed by Obi Emelonye, will be premiered at the Troxy Cinema in London last night.
